Floating Like a Cork

Part of me longs for a return trip back to the Great Salt Lake to float a cake off Smithson's Spiral Jetty. I found this postcard my father gave me to me a couple years ago tonight and it made me think of Jerry Saltz spotting a "big fat naked man" upon his visit to the famous earthwork. In addition, I wonder whether the cakes would even sink an inch in salt water, hovering just over the surface reading the New Yorker. I bet it would leave a nice white residue over the caulk frosting.
